Maybe I Had Said Something That Was Wrong
In a fit of rage, I crawled my way onto YouTube last night. I was bored, done with homework, and sick. I was looking through my music and was disgusted at how I didn't want to listen to any of it. I shuffled through my songs once again on my iPod, and after a few moments, I landed on "Skinny Love" by Birdy. Birdy is a British 16-year old who did an amazing cover of the Bon Iver song. Personally, I think it's way better than the original version. It was the only song I had by her, so I figured I'd explore some of her other songs.
Hello? Best idea I ever had? I think so.
I found the song "Shelter". It's about love, like most of her beautiful songs are. It's about her finding a boy who is pretty spectacular: except she's scared to fall in love with him. "I have never/Felt this way" means the way he makes her feel is all new to her. "Maybe I had said/Something that was wrong" is indicating that she is afraid she said something bad, probably unintentionally.
This song is just amazing. I recommend it to anyone, whether you listen to a totally different genre or not.
